So I ran my first official 5k race. Really my only goal was to finish and I accomplished that....so I am happy. It felt pretty good, but man it stinks to see like an 80 year-old woman blow past you. Oh well, Sam told me she's probably got about 70 more years of practice that I do:-) (Can you believe I am actually posting a picture of myself running? Or shuffling as I call it.)
So this picture below might seem a bit strange, but this race was put on by our local museum/planetarium. I guess the course is the World's largest complete model of the solar system.....so it would only make sense to have Star Wars guys there right? The best was that Greta was petrified of these guys. I must admit, they were a little scary even to me. Definitely made for a fun picture at my first 5k though.

I don't blame Greta- that is a pretty creepy picture. Congratulations on the race though! That's awesome. We're looking forward to seeing you guys soon and cheering you on in Crazylegs.
That's awesome! Way to go! Krista and I ran a 5K on Saturday too. Only 2 weeks to Crazylegs. Did you find it easier or harder to run in the race? Keep up the training.
