Greta is so lucky, she gets hand-me-down swimsuits from her friend Mercedes. These swimsuits are the cutest thing ever. So last week she wore a new bikini to lessons. She thought she was so cool. I am not sure why, but every time I tried to take her picture at home she leaned forward like she is in this first pic. Is she posing already?
Also, this January marks the one year anniversary of when G started taking lessons. It is amazing how much progress she has made, but she still can't actually swim. She sank like a rock last week when I let her try on her own. The cool thing was she didn't take in any water, so she must have actually held her breath.

Hmmm, I wonder where she gets the posing (Note Mommy in second photo and we have albums full of Greta's Mommy posing!). She is so cute and her little smile always makes me smile. Heck, I've had YEARS of swimming lessons and I still sink. Ask Katelyn about going down the slide with Auntie...

Note to other parents with little girls who take swimming lessons. Stick with a one piece. The two piece may look cute, but you will spend the whole time tugging the top in place. Save yourself the frustration and just leave the 2 piece for pictures or bathtime.
Great photos. Even if she can't swim yet she's becoming comfortable in the water, which is an important first step! She will be swimming before you know it.
