Tonight was a big night for me, folks. Rachel came home from work and was laying on the bed, and wanted me to feel her belly. I thought it would be fun to talk to the baby a little, so I said, "punch, baby, punch!" Holy crap! She punched right into my hand! I told her to punch again and felt another punch! A third time got another punch!
Rachel's been able to feel the baby for a while and until now I hadn't been able to feel it at all. It was pretty special that the first night I got to feel the baby kick she also recognized my voice. It really hit home that there's a little person in there that can already sense the outside world.
Rachel's a little jealous, but we might have a little daddy's girl on our hands already...
